The Three Legs of DAWG:
Foster DAWG
Time saves lives. Foster DAWG provides opportunity for dogs to leave the shelter quickly – opening a spot in for another homeless dog and allowing the foster dog to decompress and heal while they learn to be family members and prepare for their forever homes.
Adopt-a-DAWG
The DAWG Project saves at-risk dogs from local shelters, and people who can’t care for their dogs to place with fosters until forever homes are found.
Lucky DAWG
Lucky DAWG is a catch-all program to change the luck of Dallas dogs. DAWG does this by arranging transport of Dallas shelter dogs to cities where they will be adopted, by removing barriers to basic pet care within the underserved areas of our community, and by providing information and medical resources to support fosters, adopters and pet-owners.
